for a poster for VaGirlsSummit at George Mason-
girls are stressed out and feel the need to be perfect and this painting
hopes to show them facing the world head on and says "you are doing enough right now" in bold,
colors and strokes of paint.

Well each of these has a unique story.
Football has been in the news a lot lately and on my T.V. as my husband is a huge fan,
and I don't much understand the game but I do appreciate the athletes and always
seem to see a potential painting in just about everything.

Why do I paint rainy scenes some people ask.
I love the rain, which is one of the reasons I love Virginia, it so frequently rains.
The water refreshes and cleans everything and my garden thrives.
The streets are bright with reflective light and it makes me want to put
on my red rain boots and dance!

Summer seems to fly by in a blink.
Only four weeks left with our youngest daughter and then she's off to college
on the east coast.
I'm getting ready to travel to NY again soon which is exciting :)
Love it - even in the hot summer it's a place that
reminds us to imagine, create and inspire!

It's raining in California today so this one seems appropriate.
It's just about dry but the yellow colors always seem to take a couple extra days.
I am so happy to have painted so many of my collectors holiday gifts in November.

Many are shipped off and some are on the drying racks curing and will go off next week.

For those of you who don't know me well, I thought I would give you an update:
Well.....I'm an artist, a mother, a wife, a gardener, a daughter, an organizer, a sister, a traveler, a scuba diver, an animal lover, a flower collector, a home body, a decorator, a blogger, and a coffee lover, chocolate fanatic!
I do love to paint and so of all my activities, this I do everyday, for some 20 years now.
We recently moved so the paintings I'm listing now are all brand new and still wet!
