Title: Walking the Dog

16x20

Oil

SOLD

Walking the dog always helps me clear my head and get my creative juices flowing. Nothing like excersize to lift the spirit and send me creating! This morning I thought I had finished a painting. I Left to play some tennis and when I returned to the painting, I realized it wasn't quite complete..... I really finished it with another layer of paint everywhere!

Romance and Roses

One of my favorite antique rose paintings from my archives.....I loved this one! I think I might try to paint it again soon!

This link will take you to a lovely treasury on Etsy...very romantic so I decided to post it.

Treasuries are great collections designed around a theme and some people get very creative with them. One of my paintings is in there somewhere...see if you can find it! It has a lot of brilliant red!

Blue Mood Abstract

Title: Blue Mood

Two panels put together...each 24x30 on chunky 1.75" profile canvas

Love Spring and love Spring abstract! Great weather inspires me to paint outside where I can go crazy with the paint on canvas. Here there are drips and runny paint areas near the bottom and thick palette knife work with heavier paint near the top! Pops with blue, green, silver and yellow.

Love this painting and painting it was a joy to paint! Available for purchase at this time.

Hope everyone is enjoying the tail end of Winter and the beginning of Spring!

Thanks for checking in!

Rain Dance

Oil
Spring fever has hit....it's all about the warmer weather and flowers and plans for Spring break.
I'm off to take a closer look at more colleges I'm afraid. Found out today our daughter got accepted into a bunch of great UC Schools, even her top pick one....UC Berkeley! She got a scholarship to University of San Diego so I'm secretly routing for that one, but she's got some amazing choices. I wish I were 18 and going to college again! What fun!
Hope you all enjoy some warmer weather and have nothing but great blessings and good fortune! More warm and happy art on the way!!!

Listening to my daughter Kayla practice the violin and I'm thinking tomorrow I need to paint another violin girl. It's been awhile and I'm missing figure painting a bit. I hope you have time to scroll through the vast array of paintings I've created and sold. I don't ever keep any of them very long and I really don't get to attached. I just love painting them and sending them off to a loving home! Hope you find one!

California Poppy Fields

Title: California Poppy Fields in the Wind

My husband has been stationed at Edwards AFB in the Mojave three times now. Each time we live there I wait for the brief yet spectacular display of the poppies in the Spring. They explode from the earth with golden light and it is truly beautiful and calls to be painted.

Super thick impasto oil!
Love this one and loaded the paint thick, just how I like it! Silver, grey background really shows off the brilliant gold sunflowers, which are set off by the striking blue vase.
One of my favorites!

Title: Romance in the Rain

Another thick impasto oil!
Colorful abstract background makes a great backdrop for my romantic couple.
I hope this one inspires you, or just brings a smile!
I would love to paint one of these just for you...please email if you would like a special rain painting!
So busy lately...time just flies. I've been thinking a lot about the disaster in Japan and it's so sad. It makes you remember to appreciate your loved ones and all the simple things in life. Fleeting moments are precious and it goes so fast with out busy lives.
Live, love and laugh often!

Paris Rain

Title: Champs Elsees, Paris Night
20x24
Oil
SOLD
A very impressionistic palette knife painting, and one of my favorite Paris works to date. This was an inspiring place to visit and Paris is bustling with people. Reminded me of New York but on a grander scale. I love the architecture and of course the great people watching in Paris.
The place glows at night and really has it's own special ambience.
I used bright cad reds and yellows set against deep blues and greens of night!
Hope you enjoy and thanks for checking in!!!
