Playing with textures and colors!  I usually paint in much brighter colors everywhere but to achieve a soft rainy effect here I subdued and blurred the background thus bringing the couple to the focal point, drawing your eye right to the pop of red.  I love the romance of Paris!  What a city.

A happy, spring moment painting from my imagination!  These landscapes are one of my favorite scenes and I always think of either our military assignments in the South, like Alabama, or east coast, like Arlington, Virginia and the spring blooming Azaleas and Magnolias when I paint a scene like this.  So lovely and bright with spring color!

I don't really know where the time goes!  I haven't had time to visit my favorite city in a few years.  When we lived east coast we would go every summer at least once.  I guess I'm missing it so this one is from the heart!
