Royal Peacock

I love these teal blue colors set against a soft silvery background. I layered thick oil, impasto style and this beauty is almost dry.
A very lovely and ostentatious, bird but very noisy!

Horse Play
SOLD
A horse is an angel without wings.
Absolutely one of my favorite animals and my favorite to paint for sure. The grace, power, and beauty of these animals in motion is so much fun to paint with my knife. Capturing movement and energy is pure joy. Hope you enjoy!

My wonderful daughters inspire me to paint so many things. They are always in my mind and my heart and always will be. Even with my oldest away at college, she is more on my mind then ever!
These spiritual figures help me express all the emotions and powerful love.
Hope she brings a smile!

"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see."
Edgar Degas
"It is all very well to copy what one sees, but it is far better to draw what one now only sees in one's memory. That is a transformation in which imagination collaborates with memory."

I love the paintings of the French impressionist Degas and this one was a bit inspired by him. I often live by this last quote when I paint. I rarely look at images anymore because I see things so clearly in my mind and it is so much more exciting to paint from my imagination!
I hope you enjoy!

Tuscany Poppy Field
Every time I paint Tuscany Italy, my heart experiences an intense feeling of calmness and peace. I know exactly that this feeling comes from the relaxed atmosphere of this serene part of Italy and it's beauty is intensified because of this sense of calm.
This painting is still wet but available for purchase!

Rainy Romance

Built up broken color and extreme impressionistic style and texture makes this one of my favorite romance landscapes! Large so it makes quite a focal point with rich color and symbolism.
Many small painting in the works as well!
