Autumn Radiance

Title: Autumn Radiance
Size: 16x 20
Medium: oil on stretched canvas
PAINTING:
THIS PAINTING IS SOLD
This painting is extra thick with oil. I wanted to draw the eye to the golden tree in the forground, so it has at least three layers of reds, ochers and yellow/golds, which is a wonderful contrast to the complementary lavenders of the distant forest background. It is my favorite landscape of the month, just love it!
INSPIRED by all the trees and parks of Virginia that surround me.

Forest in Morning Light

Title: Forest in Morning Light
Size: 18 x 24
Medium: oil on stretched canvas
PAINTING:
I used all my favorite autumn colors as well as my new favorite teal colors which really light up the background of these warm trees and complement them well. There is so much texture on this painting making it is irresistably touchable! The path draws you in and the cool background colors add depth and glow. A forest of color is always a fantastic inspiration and a classic landscape.

Aspen Forest Color

SOLD

Title: Aspen Forest Color
Size: 12 x 24
Medium: oil on stretched canvas

I love the warm colors and textures in this landscape.....reds, golds and greens. (Click on image to enlarge) Warm and glowing, this painting is dynamic and makes a statement in any room. It's one of my favorite subjects to paint, a welcoming path, and this one is thicker in the forground so the path seems to lead you into its depths.

Birch Tree Splendor

Here are a few photos of two of my favorite landscape paintings that were recently purchased from a great couple, (Thank you Ann and Vic!) and I love how they look in their home so I wanted to share. She chose a gold frame for each with linen liner and hung them at eye level and not only do the frames enhance the artwork beautifully but they look great with her decor as well!

Size: 9 x 12
Medium: oil on stretched canvas
THIS PAINTING IS SOLD
THE PAINTING:
I realize not everybody has huge walls and sweet little paintings like this one fit just about anywhere, turning a plain boring little space into a focal point. Teals, blues, greens and golds in the background and the black and white textured trunks in the foreground will want to make you reach out and touch them! Click to enlarge to see!
Storms:
We had a big thunder storm last night and I just love when the skies open up and make that amazing noise. Maggie the dog hides under the bed.

Fall Forest Splendor

Title: Fall Forest Splendor
Size: 24 x 30
Medium: oil on stretched canvas

ABOUT THE PAINTING:
Another beautiful spring-like day! My passion for nature and the outdoors often makes me want to try to capture the beauty as in this painting. Here I try to convey a sense of peace and tranquility and the quiet strength of the forest. I love to paint with both brushes and knives because both techniques are required to generate the textures and details that make my unique style. My favorite painting is the one that is currently on the easel. Whatever it happens to be I am working on, the joy comes from creation.
Thanks for checking my post and you can find this painting on eBay tonight at a ridiculously low price!
