Original oil paintings commissions by collectors painted by artist Karen Tarlton
12x16
Providence
38x60
Paris Romance
Two new paintings that I would love to share.
The first was a gift to a friend. The boat is his "happy place"
and I thought he might like to see it everyday.
The second is a very large commission that was just shipped off.
I always worry about my larger works when in transit.
UPS can be "not so careful" I've found.
(fingers crossed)

Colorful Bounty
Sold commission in Oil
Just finished this lovely commission for one of my favorite collectors back east. Painted it on linen for her and I just love linen. So lushious. The oil paint seems to paint itself on this beautiful fabric. I'm always happy to paint a painting just for you so please contact me if you have a special painting in mind.
Art makes the best gift and adds the perfect personal touch to a home!

Orange Cat in Morning Light
The story behind this painting is simply that I love animals. For some reason cats seem to be attracted to me as well and I'm always taking in strays and finding them homes because I can't keep them....allergic. This one belongs to my neighbor and I take care of him when my neighbor's on vacation. He always drops by to visit....adorable.

I love, love painting rain paintings! Prismatic, abstract background in rich impasto, palette knife oil paint. This painting was recently finished and I am currently working on a larger rain painting for the same collector.

commission
Finished commission......24x36
I love how this one turned out. There is something so special about a road that draws you in a calm, soothing way. Peaceful.
Yes my neighbor's cat came over again to watch me paint. I'm not sure why he likes me....I'm totally allergic, but he loves me so I have to like him.
I love to paint special commissions for you. Just need an image that you love. A special photo of a place or person.

Commissions
24x36
I just shipped this finished commission for a collector!
We decided to add the little corgi dog above to the scene and I think
it was the perfect finishing touch!
16x20
This is another beach scene commission I am boxing up now, and I really love to paint beach paintings. I enjoy painting commissions for people, especially when I know the piece will bring back fond memories every once and awhile.
Hope everyone is having a Happy Hanukkah and a FESTIVE holiday season. We have been attending a holiday party every Saturday for the last few weeks....so much fun going on this time of year! Stay warm, safe and smile!

Wine and Roses
Title: Wine and Roses
Size: 16 x 20
Medium: oil on stretched canvas
This painting is available for purchase on Etsy or at City Lights Gallery, Las Vegas
I have many frames in black or gold that go well with this one so don't hesitate to ask.
We had a juried show at the gallery where this painting is exhibited and last night at the reception.... it won an award!
