Today I wanted to paint boats again because they relax me,

comfort me and give me peace of mind (as long as I'm not actually on one but painting it)

but these I painted last week and they are now dry and listed!

Today I worked on some bees which will list next week and a very large commission

for a collector.

We went to the National Zoo this morning and headed straight for the Big Cats area

The majestic one was dozing in the sun but did sound off a few roars for us, 

which was spectacular!

Sometimes I do wake up in the middle of the night with a thought suddenly in my head. Inspriration from I don't know where, but since I can't paint at 2 a.m. I just go write it down.

(My husband is used to my pitter paddering around in the middle of the night now.)

In the morning, there it is, like a note from the heavens....paint this! Anyway here are my latest.

The dog one may have been inspired by my Maggie, pushing her way onto my pillow the other night but whatever it was, HERE THEY ARE!

The prettiest flower in Scandinavia are these tulips.

We traveled all over Sweden, Denmark and Norway and it was cold yet these beautiful

flowers were there, chilly or not, and the color so striking!
