California Poppy Fields

Title: California Poppy Fields in the Wind

12x36

Oil

My husband has been stationed at Edwards AFB in the Mojave three times now. Each time we live there I wait for the brief yet spectacular display of the poppies in the Spring. They explode from the earth with golden light and it is truly beautiful and calls to be painted.

Available for purchase and almost dry!

Sunflowers and Rain

Title: Sunny Sunflowers

16x20

Oil

Super thick impasto oil!

Love this one and loaded the paint thick, just how I like it! Silver, grey background really shows off the brilliant gold sunflowers, which are set off by the striking blue vase.

One of my favorites!

Title: Romance in the Rain

Size: 16x20

Oil

Another thick impasto oil!

Colorful abstract background makes a great backdrop for my romantic couple.

I hope this one inspires you, or just brings a smile!

I would love to paint one of these just for you...please email if you would like a special rain painting!

So busy lately...time just flies. I've been thinking a lot about the disaster in Japan and it's so sad. It makes you remember to appreciate your loved ones and all the simple things in life. Fleeting moments are precious and it goes so fast with out busy lives.

Live, love and laugh often!

Paris Rain

Title: Champs Elsees, Paris Night

SOLD

A very impressionistic palette knife painting, and one of my favorite Paris works to date. This was an inspiring place to visit and Paris is bustling with people. Reminded me of New York but on a grander scale. I love the architecture and of course the great people watching in Paris.

The place glows at night and really has it's own special ambience.

I used bright cad reds and yellows set against deep blues and greens of night!

Hope you enjoy and thanks for checking in!!!

Love this area of California and this particular perspective is one of favorite aggie scenes. Greens, golds and teals in thick impasto oil.
