Inspiration for this painting:

I have one daughter in studying abroad in Europe and another singing on spring break

in China. So - both babies are grown young women with some serious sandcastle building skills I think!

This is really how it all began....... and I remember these days like they were yesterday.

Hours of sandcastle building on the beaches of Florida and Southern California where we were stationed.

Carefree days of summer....

I wish sometimes it could all be slowed down a bit

and there was so much more time for long strolls

through calm landscapes and sunny skies.

Peaceful landscapes bring a sense of calm I think.
