Original oil painting May Hummingbirds by Karen Tarlton

 12x24
Hummingbird Dance
Oil

May is upon us!
These are my favorite birds to see
and when I do, I know Spring is here.
It's like finding a unicorn; they are so magical.
They amaze but also remind us of several important things to remember:

1. taste the "sweet nectar"  or good things in life
2.Endurance is key to success. Just because you are in a state of non - progression, or "hovering" in one place, doesn't mean your stagnant or stuck. It just means you are in a natural state of rest.

Dreaming of hummingbirds can represent having too much or not enough of one of these qualities.

I also just love the soothing humm they make when they hover in front of a flower
and dance away again!

8x8 Hummingbird (below)
Tasting the "sweet nectar" or the good things in life. Endurance. Also, based on the way that hummingbirds can hover in one place, hummingbird can mean you're actually making progress even when it seems you're stuck, or that you're in a natural lull or rest period and you'll begin making progress again soon. Dreaming of this animal can represent: Having too much of one of these qualities, or that you could benefit by being less this way Not having enough of one of these qualities, or that you could benefit by being more like this Someone or something in your real life with whom you associate one of these qualities (an event, situation, threat, etc.)
